Who We Are
Skyline Himalaya is an outdoor experiences company based in Uttarakhand, dedicated to helping people discover the Himalayas through thoughtfully organized journeys. While trekking remains at the heart of what we do, our experiences go beyond mountain trails to include mountain tours, school outdoor programs, and customized outdoor experiences for individuals, groups, and institutions.
The Himalayas are more than destinations to us. They are places that bring people closer to nature, encourage learning, build confidence, and create memories that stay long after the journey ends.
Every experience is planned with the same approach: understanding the place, respecting the mountains, working closely with local communities, and ensuring every journey is organized with care and responsibility.
MEET THE FOUNDER
Rakesh Singh Bisht

More than a decade in the mountains has given Rakesh Singh Bisht an understanding of outdoor operations that comes from experience as much as professional training. Based in the Lohajung region of Uttarakhand, he has spent over 13 years working across Himalayan journeys, gradually building his knowledge by taking on different responsibilities throughout his career.
His first role in the industry was as a kitchen helper, where he witnessed the effort that goes into every successful journey long before participants arrive at the campsite. As the years progressed, so did his responsibilities. Working across logistics, campsite management, route planning, team coordination, and participant safety gave him a practical understanding of how outdoor experiences are planned and delivered.
To strengthen that experience, Rakesh completed the Basic Mountaineering Course (BMC) at the National Institute of Mountaineering and Adventure Sports (NIMAS), Arunachal Pradesh, in 2017. He later completed the skiing course at Auli, Uttarakhand, in 2018, followed by the Advanced Mountaineering Course (AMC) at the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI), Darjeeling, in 2021. He also holds a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from MAX Hospital, Dehradun, adding formal emergency response training to his field experience.
The idea behind Skyline Himalaya grew naturally from these years in the outdoors. The objective has always been simple: to organize experiences that are thoughtfully planned, responsibly operated, and remembered for the right reasons. Every journey reflects the same values that have shaped Rakesh’s career from the beginning—preparation, teamwork, respect for the mountains, and genuine care for the people traveling through them.
