Detailed Itinerary

Driving Distance: Approx. 300 km | Duration: 9–10 Hours | Altitude: 7,390 ft | Stay: Village Homestay / Guesthouse

The journey begins from Kathgodam and heads deep into the Kumaon Himalayas towards Namik Village. Surrounded by mountain landscapes and traditional settlements, Namik serves as the starting point of the trek. Spend the evening settling in and preparing for the days ahead.

Trek Distance: 5 km | Altitude: 9,690 ft | Stay: Campsite

The trail gradually ascends from Namik Village through forests and mountain terrain. As the valley opens up, beautiful views of the surrounding landscape begin to emerge. Reach Bajimanian Camp and enjoy a peaceful evening in the mountains.

Trek Distance: 4.5 km | Altitude: 11,730 ft | Stay: Campsite

Continue ascending through alpine terrain as the scenery becomes increasingly dramatic. Open ridgelines, mountain meadows, and expansive valley views accompany the trail before reaching Thal Tok Camp.

Trek Distance: Approx. 9 km | Highest Elevation: 12,840 ft | Stay: Campsite

Begin early for the summit climb. The trail ascends towards Ranthan Summit, the highest point of the trek. The summit rewards trekkers with magnificent views of the surrounding Himalayan landscape. After spending time at the top, descend towards Parva Thor Camp for the night.

Today’s route gradually descends through alpine terrain and mountain trails towards Namik River Camp. Enjoy a relaxed day on the trail while taking in the final views of the surrounding valleys and ridgelines.

Driving Distance: Approx. 300 km | Duration: 9–10 Hours

After breakfast, return to Namik Village and begin the drive back towards Kathgodam. The journey concludes through the scenic landscapes of Kumaon, marking the end of the Ranthan Kharak adventure.
